So, what's on the horizon for this year?

One thing we have observed is that wellness trends tend to look a little different each year. For example looking back at 2022… that was the era where we took our hot girl walks, ate our greens in powdered form, opened up about mental health struggles on social media, and tried to quit things that gave us stress to protect our aura’s.

The fact is that there will always be an endless amount of practices you can use to boost your wellbeing and feel your very best. However, there are a few stand-out strategies that are set to explode in the wellness world. We were curious about what 2023’s wellness priority list would include and so as usual, we did a little digging so we could keep you up to date and help you get a jumpstart on a healthy new routine.

Here are the top 2 wellness trends expected to be on the rise in 2023, according to leading experts from Forbes.

Mouth Taping

Yes, sounds a  bit odd but this trend requires you to tape your mouth shut when you sleep at night! Mouth taping may easily be one of the weirdest health hacks out there, but it’s become an increasingly popular and mainstream trend among wellness enthusiasts. Its aim is to force you to breathe through your nose at night and that change in pathway is said to provide a long list of health benefits, such as;

  • Improved sleep, no more snoring!

  • Humidification of inhaled air. Your nose warms and moisturizes the air you breathe in. This brings the air you inhale to body temperature, making it easier for your lungs to use.

  • Filtering of foreign particles. Nasal hair filters out dust, allergens, and pollen, which prevents them from entering your lungs.

  • Increased oxygen circulation throughout the body.

Sleep Syncing

This wellness trend involves adjusting your sleep cycle to the rhythms of nature (like the sun or moon) and tuning it with your circadian rhythm. When we did some research, we noticed some studies have shown that sleep syncing helps people fall asleep quicker, reducing their feelings of stress and anxiety, which are often associated with poor sleep patterns. If this sounds interesting you can jump on this trend by first setting up a regular sleep schedule, going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. This helps put your body on a regular sleep cycle so that it becomes more used to waking up and going to sleep at certain times. Using apps alongside your journey to track your sleep patterns is also said to be a great additional tool for better sleep.
